This Privacy Policy explains how Hannes Dicks Biokineticist ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use the Rehab Portal app (the "App"). We process personal information in line with the South African Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and applicable health-professional regulations.

We collect personal and health information you provide, including your name, contact details, identity number, date of birth, medical aid details, emergency contact, doctor referral details, injury and condition notes, ICD-10 codes, treatment and session notes, exercise programs, symptom diary entries, and billing and payment records.

How we use your information

• To provide biokinetic assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services.
• To schedule appointments and communicate with you about your care.
• To bill for services and process payments.
• To comply with legal, health-record and professional regulatory requirements.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with your medical aid for claims, with referring doctors as needed for your treatment, and where required by law. Any third-party service we use is bound to protect your information.

Retention of clinical records

Your clinical files and treatment records are retained by the practice for legal and health-record purposes. Closing or deleting your online account does not delete these clinical files.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. Access is restricted to authorised practice staff involved in your care.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal record-keeping requirements. You can request account closure or deletion from within the App.
